Individual/Family and Group Therapy

Guiding Point offers Individual/Family Therapy to adults, adolescent and children. Our team of licensed and experienced therapists, meet with individuals to learn about their needs and set goals towards improving and or elevating mental health symptoms. Therapists are trained to assess what mode of therapy will be most effective and will create an individualized plan. Therapy may take place in individual sessions, group sessions, or through interaction with the entire family or support system.

Case Management

Our Qualified Behavioral Health Specialists work with clients in a community setting to improve their personal and social functioning. As well as assisting clients in accessing community resources. Through advocacy and support we equip our clients with the skills and resources to live a more productive and independent life. Our Case Managers collaborate with Therapist as well as the client to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that supports each client’s personal goals and needs in areas such as:

-Child Care Referral
-Clothing Vouchers
-Disability Application
-Driver’s License
(obtaining/reinstating)
-Education

-Healthy Behavior skills
-Anger Management
-Depression coping skills
-Housing Applications
-Job Skill Development
-Medicaid Application

-Physician Referral

School Based Counseling and Interventions

GuidingPoint offers in school counseling and classroom interventions to assist children and adolescents in improving classroom behavior, and coping with in school and or personal stressors.

How The Program Works
Services are delivered to students in a variety of ways. Each service may be selected individually or bundled to meet the specific needs of the students, faculty or families.

Individual Counseling provided at school addresses specific behavioral and emotional issues. In-home counseling is available as needed.


Group Counseling sessions are aimed at skill building and focus on specific topics. This format encourages cooperation and sharing among peers in a structured setting.


Prevention Groups help students make better choices. Topics include anger management, violence prevention and social functioning skills. Common diagnoses include:
-Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
-Mood Disorders
-Behavior Disorders
-Anxiety
-Adjustment Reactions
-Post-Traumatic Stress
